Chapter 26- Perseverance Pays!

Okay!  Back to being positive today.  I thank you all for your messages of concern and encouragement and am happy to report that pain is diminished and mobility restored to my arm.

I just had to share with you the joy of seeing perseverance pay-off! All the ice-packs, arnica, finger-walking up the wall etc actually did reduce the inflammation and  restore mobility, although I still feel as though I have been in a punch-up, the sharp, disabling pain has gone and I  can finally brush my unkempt hair again.

I am now happy to be going away for a short family break now, to the Scottish Highlands and will share my snapshots & adventures with you upon my return.

Have a restful Bank Holiday Weekend.

Before I leave, I must share with you a beautiful message received on my Blog shared via the  LinkedIn  Stroke Forum.
Joanne was not sure how to comment on this Blog so I am sure she wont mind my sharing this message with you.   It gives meaning an purpose to my Blogging.

I so much appreciate all of your blogs - it’s like someone has been taking a video of my life. This one  ( referring to Chapter 23) is especially poignant as I have been coasting for a while. I'm lucky that I don’t have debilitating deficits, but nonetheless I had a stroke. After two years of recovery, I’ve started relaxing most of the time. Action being the magic word for me now, I’m taking up things I’ve neglected in the past such as Tai Chi, cleaning up my clutter, re-learning wire wrapping, and most important - working on my website.

Thank you for your courage to let us in on your insights, your discoveries and recovery!

(PS - I am not sure but I may have also put this on your blog site...don’t know how it works.)
